Serinda Swan
Serinda Swan is a Canadian actor known for her roles across film and television, best recognised for the portrayals of Erica Reed in the A&E crime drama Breakout Kings, Paige Arkin in the USA Network series Graceland, Medusa in Marvel’s Inhumans and Jenny Cooper in the CBC series Coroner.
Born in West Vancouver, Swan was introduced to the entertainment industry at an early age through her father, theatre director Scott Swan. She made her screen debut as a child before steadily building a résumé of guest appearances in popular television series including Supernatural, Smallville, Psych, Fringe and Hawaii Five-0.
In 2011, Swan landed one of her first major television roles as Erica Reed in Breakout Kings, portraying a former bounty hunter working alongside escaped convicts to track fugitives. The performance introduced Swan to a wider North American audience and opened the door to larger leading roles. She followed this with a standout performance as Paige Arkin in Graceland, appearing across all three seasons of the acclaimed USA Network drama centered around undercover federal agents living together in a Southern California beach house.
Taking things to the next level once again, Swan joined the Marvel universe in 2017 as Medusa, Queen of the Inhumans, in Marvel’s Inhumans. While already well known within genre television circles, the role significantly elevated her international visibility and cemented her status within the comic book and sci-fi fan community. Swan later transitioned into more dramatic territory with the lead role of coroner Jenny Cooper in the hit Canadian drama Coroner, earning praise for her nuanced portrayal of the determined and empathetic investigator. Her most recent role is that of Karla Dixon in the Amazon Prime smash-hit Reacher.
Swan has continued expanding her career across both television and film projects, appearing in action thrillers, independent productions and streaming releases while also remaining active in humanitarian and environmental advocacy initiatives.
