Kate Kennedy
Kate Kennedy is a British actress, voice performer and motion-capture artist known for her work across television, film and video games, recognised for her role as Spartan supersoldier Kai-125 in the Paramount+ science-fiction series Halo. Kennedy has also become well known to gaming audiences for her performances in major franchise titles including Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Call of Duty.
Before pursuing acting full time, Kennedy trained as a dancer and performer, working extensively in physical theatre and performance capture. Her early screen work included appearances in productions such as Harlots and Catastrophe, while she simultaneously built a career within the video game industry, lending both voice and motion-capture performances to a variety of high-profile titles.
Kennedy’s work in gaming brought her to global attention through roles in blockbuster franchises, including BioWare’s Mass Effect: Andromeda and Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Her performance capture work, combining physical acting with voice performance, helped establish her as a sought-after performer within the rapidly expanding world of interactive storytelling.
In 2022, Kennedy stepped into one of her most prominent roles to date when she was cast as Spartan Kai-125 in the live-action adaptation of the Halo franchise. As a central member of the Silver Team, Kennedy’s performance brought emotional depth and humanity to the iconic super soldier program.
