Diêm Camille
Diêm Camille is an Ivorian Danish actor, writer, director and producer, known for her roles in The Wheel of Time, Alex Rider and the upcoming FX/Hulu series Alien: Earth.
After relocating to Denmark at a young age, Camille developed a strong foundation in creative and physical disciplines, including athletics, dance, gymnastics, drama, and music. She earned a degree from Copenhagen Business School in 2016 before moving from background roles to a breakout performance in the Danish hit crime series The Sommerdahl Murders (2020).
In 2020, she wrote, directed and starred in the award-winning short Doll, earning multiple accolades for Best Actress and Best First-Time Director. From 2020 to 2022, she played her breakout role of forensic technician Lina in The Sommerdahl Murders, followed by critical acclaim as Sister Martha in The Great Silence (2022), which received several Robert Award nominations. Camille also played trainee assassin Alyona in season 3 of the popular Amazon series, Alex Rider.
Camille’s work as a creator gained further recognition in 2022 with Bad Bitch, a series she created, wrote, and led for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. The show marked a first for Danish television with an African main cast and earned her Robert Award nominations for Best Actress and Best Short-Format TV Series.
Camille is no stranger to sci-fi and fantasy, having played The Highest, Tsutama Rath in Amazon’s The Wheel of Time. In 2025, Camille once again tackles sci-fi, taking on the role of Tactical Solider Siberian in FX/Hulu’s Alien: Earth, directed by Noah Hawley, as well as playing Esi in the hotly-anticipated Hulu adaptation of Washington Black.
